Joy to the World, the Lord is come!!!

Jingle Bells,
Jingle Bells,
Jingle All the way,
Santa Claus is coming to town to party say hurray!

Is Christmas all about Santa Claus and Christmas Trees or there is something else behind this word, behind this festival, behind this joy? What do you think about Christmas Day? Is it a day for eat, drink, party, clothes, gifts etc. or something else?
As every religion has its own festivals and the reasons behind their festivals, Christians celebrate December 25th as the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.
"Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel (Immanuel means God with us)". - Isaiah 7:14 (Bible Verses)
The angel said to him (Joseph), "I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news." - Luke 1:19, 1:26
"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." - Matthew 1:21
So, God decided to take birth on the earth to identify the problems we are facing, to identify us and save us. I don't know you will believe this or not, but the truth is that Jesus was born to Virgin Mary. Joseph who was engaged to Mary, gave him the name Jesus.
Christmas is not the birth of Santa but it is the birth of Jesus, the son of God. The original Christmas Celebration starts from the inside out. Every religion has their own belief system and their own God. They trust Him, they worship Him, they believe Him. The same way, Christians celebrate the birth of their God, Jesus.

Today, for the first time I went to a Church. There were many reasons behind this. I wanted to know about a different religion, I wanted to celebrate Christmas, I wanted to know why people celebrate this day in the whole world. I didn't know a single thing about their rules and regulations or norms and values; because every religion has their own norms and values. But, I took a step to know their religion. I went to the church named Bombay Baptist Church, Colaba, Mumbai. I went there, entered into the church hall and sat on the chair. The Christmas Service (Programme) started with Carol song:
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born.
A couple of carol songs sung by a group of young people including my friend Sarah (who helped me to be there for the Christmas service) and the whole church hall was singing and experiencing the presence of the Lord. Each line and each word was telling something about the God, who lives within us.
Joy to the World, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King,
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and Nature sing.
The song "Joy to the world, the Lord is come" is expressing the idea behind our celebration of Christmas. Earth is receiving her King and telling us to prepare a room in our heart for our Lord.
After a couple of carol songs, some people prayed and expressed their gratitude and thanksgiving to God.
One lady told us as she was filled with the Holy Spirit, that, "Feel the God. Say: 'Jesus, I need you. I can't come but I am taking a few steps to improve myself, I am taking a few steps towards my goals and I want you to be with me, to give me blessings.' And see Jesus will be with you at every step of your life because he is the Kings of Kings and Lords of Lords. The need is to trust him". Every religion says that trust yourself, trust your god; the same I heard from this religion. So, no doubt God has different forms, but God is one.

Today, I got my Christmas gift by knowing something new, something which raises curiosity. The Christmas Service was really nice and I found myself as a part of their family. So, I want to thank the Bombay Baptist Church family and everyone who was there, especially my friend Sarah Shailendra who helped me to be there and attend the Christmas service. Overall, my morning became unforgettable because of the Christmas Service.

I pray to Jesus for everyone's happiness, prosperity and health. I pray that each and every person live his/her life with full of joy. God helps those who are needy and showers his blessings on us. Thank you Jesus for bringing me into this world. You know everything about me, what I am, what I think, what I want, still you are with me, so thank you so much Jesus for your constant presence with me. Thank you Jesus for everything you have given me.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my readers!
